General Anxiety Disorder
TREATING GENERAL ANXIETY DISORDER
We Use The Same Basic Approach To Treat All Anxiety Disorders BIOCHEMICAL RESTORATION IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY
The symptoms of anxiety can often be reduced or eliminated by correcting brain chemistry and central nervous system imbalances. And it is often possible to use diet, nutritional supplements and amino acid therapy instead of prescription medications to accomplish this goal.
PSYCHOTHERAPY
We identify and eliminate the underlying issues causing the anxiety using psychotherapy. Our main psychotherapeutic tools are cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, hypnotherapy and positive psychology.
SELF HELP
We help clients learn relaxation techniques including self hypnosis, EMDR's butterfly technique, biofeedback, yoga, Tai Chi, and meditation.
MEDICATIONS
Our goal is not to use prescribed medications unless absolutely necessary. When we do it is normally in severe cases of depression or anxiety and in these instances we monitor the effects carefully and strive to keep their usage short term. Solving the problem, not just treating the symptoms is our goal.
COMPLIMENTARY THERAPIES
These include acupuncture, biofeedback, reflexology, massage and aroma therapy.
