  • Nancy is an addiction counsellor with over 25 years of international experience.
  • She is a graduate of Algonquin College, Canada, in Chemical Dependency Counselling and certified by the Canadian, Addiction Counsellors Federation (CACCF).
  • She developed and taught a course for the new Victimology program at Algonquin College on “Compassion Fatigue, Self-Care and Professional Practice”.
  • Nancy was a member of the opening team that developed and implement the treatment program at Crossroads Centre, Antigua, West Indies, where she worked for 8 years.
  • Her continuing education has recently focused on: Women and Trauma – Understanding Substance Abuse within a Trauma Framework; Strategies in Family Therapy; Brief Interventions; and Motivational Counselling.
  • In Britain, Nancy managed, supervised and trained drug workers for Her Majesty’s Prison Service (HMPS).
  • Nancy researched, consulted, wrote and had published a training and resource manual (with national distribution) for the Canadian AIDS Society, ‘Under The Influence, Making the Connection Between HIV/AIDS and Substance Use”.
